Sentara Healthcare is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Gastroenterology team. As a LPN, you will work under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site specific program.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support and communicate effectively with other licensed independent practitioners (Physicians, NP, PA) in collaboration while providing care and treatment for patients.
* Implement nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
* Serve as patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease.

Requirements:

* 1 year healthcare experience required.
* DIP - Diploma: Nursing (Required), TS - Trade School Graduate: Nursing (Required)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
