Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Fresh Foods of Washington. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment, ensuring product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Efficiently operate equipment in a safe manner in accordance with OEM guidelines.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance Tasks as assigned.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning and non-functioning equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain equipment records and inspections.
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain the Maintenance Shop, Electrical Room, Parts Room, and Production Floor in a clean and organized manner.
  • Communication: Maintain effective line of communication between maintenance and operations, providing current and correct information to the operation's team on maintenance issues that relate to floor production.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 8-10 years of maintenance experience and advanced troubleshooting abilities.
  • Education: 2+ years of manufacturing experience; Food manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain Full-face respirator certification, forklift/scissor lift/boom lift certification.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS, Control System; able to read electrical and mechanical plans.

The position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury. Please have availability and flexibility to work different shifts and days, sometimes for weeks at a time.
