We are seeking a skilled LPN-Ambulatory Nurse to join our team at Upstate Family Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide routine, standardized nursing care for patients under the supervision of the physician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
  • Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to hospital.
  • Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
  • Document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient chart and ensure that all required records are in the chart.
  • Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician order.
  • Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through patient education.
  • Prepare exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Receive and return clinically related telephone calls; screening and forwarding those requiring physician action.
  • Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies.
  • Inform physician of changes in schedule.

Requirements

Post high school education up to 18 months: Post high school education in an accredited school of nursing.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

South Carolina LPN License (Lawson Code NLPN).

Work Environment

Day shift, Upstate Family Medicine, 1083 Family & Internal Medicine - Seneca.
