Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist with Raleigh General Hospital, you will work in a supportive team environment to provide direct patient care services to individuals of all ages, facilitating progress toward performance-based goals in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and with Raleigh General Hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress.
- Supervise and support paraprofessional and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
- Develop and implement education programs to enhance patient knowledge and understanding of their conditions and treatment options.
- Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions to address these needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Licenses: Current or eligible West Virginia Occupational Therapist license and Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
- Experience: One year of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as home health settings, preferred.
