Your Role

We are currently seeking a Junior Mining Engineering Specialist to join our team.

Engage in projects with our Mining Engineering Earth & Environment Team and contribute to a growing organization that fulfills our clients' goals and resolves their challenges.

Your Contributions

- Uphold a "Safety First" approach in all activities.

- Execute a comprehensive range of mine engineering functions;


- Conduct strategic modeling, design, and engineering analysis, including interactive mine design and sequencing using various mine modeling software.

This role involves collaboration on projects under supervision and as part of cohesive teams;

- Work in partnership with engineers and technical personnel to cultivate the skills and processes necessary for the effective delivery of engineering and consulting assignments;

- Consistently apply a high standard of ethical conduct to promote and uphold our Core Values and Culture.

- Collaborate with other offices and clients globally.

- Complete training on assigned responsibilities.


- Make responsible and ethical decisions regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to our Code of Conduct and related policies.

- Undertake additional responsibilities as dictated by business needs.

Who You Are

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or a related field, either at the undergraduate or graduate level.

- Prior internship experience, leadership roles, or relevant coursework.

- 0 to 1 year of pertinent post-education experience.

- Eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in the USA, depending on office location;

- Previous internship and relevant experience in underground and surface mine planning, design, and scheduling.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Familiarity with mine planning, design, and scheduling software such as Vulcan, Deswick, Datamine, MineScape, Whittle, XPAC, and Spry;

- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese) considered advantageous;

- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities;

- Willingness to travel internationally and to remote project sites.

- Excellent technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.


- Proven commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health, safety, and anti-harassment policies.
