Job Summary

Total Behavioral Health is a virtual mental health clinic providing clinical services to diverse clients with mental health needs. Our team consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and mental health counselors. We work closely with referral sources, including the Dept. of Mental Health, local hospitals, and health centers. Our specialty psychiatrists see geriatric patients, adults, adolescents, and children.

Please apply only if you are licensed in Texas. Interns and master's level applicants without a license will not be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating and treating psychiatric patients in outpatient settings.
  • Perform initial and subsequent assessments, medical reports, and provide counseling.
  • Develop treatment plans and communicate with patients and families as needed.
  • Work with individuals and groups to improve mental health.
  • Encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences.
  • Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress, and suicide.
  • Work with families and help clients define goals, plan action, and gain insight.
  • Develop therapeutic processes and coordinate care with other providers.
  • Take a holistic approach to mental health care.

Requirements:

  • Practice in accordance with Texas laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain reasonable availability and keep records of professional services.
  • Prepare reports, claims, and correspondence as needed.
  • Perform all functions and duties in accordance with employer policies and practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
