We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team at J&J Worldwide Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned, assisting in a wide variety of routine maintenance activities, and addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities, including carpentry, drywall repairs and finishing, painting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and appliance installations.
- Assist skilled tradesmen and/or assigned supervisors in completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Respond to trouble calls in a timely manner and complete assigned Preventive Maintenance and/or Work orders as noted per contract SOW.
- Prepare written materials, such as repair status and activity logs, to document activities and convey information.
- Repair furniture and building system components to ensure a safe working condition.
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure the availability of materials required at job sites.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher degree
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, wear protective clothing and devices when working with hazardous chemicals, and be subjected to hazardous gases, high pressure gases, hot liquids, dirt, dust, and oil/grease.
- Ability to stand, stoop, climb, and lift heavy objects to perform duties, and push 50 pounds of maintenance equipment and lift a minimum of 50 pounds of supplies and equipment.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain Security Clearance.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. The ability to work in confined spaces, such as ductwork, pits, and crawl spaces, is also required.
