Credentialing Coordinator

This is a hybrid position with both office and remote work opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical credentialing and be proficient in relevant software applications including MS Office.
Responsibilities include:
- Initiating, completing, and following up on all credentialing and privileging applications for providers at designated facilities.
- Verifying physicians' licenses and credentials for privileges at designated hospitals.
- Assisting practitioners with the application of Controlled Substance and DEA licenses.
- Scheduling practitioner's interviews with the hospital's Medical Directors.
- Providing affiliated hospitals with updated credentials: licenses, collaborative agreements, certificate of insurance, and documents.
- Obtaining NPI numbers and updating the NPPES database with current information.
- Updating CMS profiles and the PECOS internet database.
- Inputting data, updating, and maintaining the CAQH database.
- Keeping current on issues that affect billing, credentialing, and privileges.
- Maintaining all necessary materials for credentialing, including Board certificates, licenses, CMEs, PPD testing, etc.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. ID Care offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
To qualify, you must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical credentialing and a High School diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree is preferred. A physician background is required.
