Research Opportunities
We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our team at the National Cancer Institute. Our group is focused on understanding the functions of human and viral non-coding RNAs in tumorigenic viruses, with the goal of identifying novel antiviral and anti-tumor targets.
Research Focus
Our research involves studying the functional significance of circular RNAs and human genes that are differentially regulated by viral infection. We are particularly interested in understanding the roles of non-coding RNAs in regulating infection, immune evasion, cell cycle regulation, and apoptosis.
Methodologies
We employ various single cell and spatial transcriptomic approaches to understand viral and human gene expression in diseased tissue of patients with cancer virus malignancies. A strong background in gene expression analysis, virology, and immunology is highly desirable.
Requirements
Candidates must have or plan to have a postgraduate degree in a relevant field, with excellent communication skills and cell culture experience. Post-graduate degrees must be obtained in 2023 or 2024. Experience with gene expression analysis, virology, and immunology is preferred.
