Restaurant Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Team Member to join our team at Isaac's Restaurant in Downtown Lancaster.
About the RoleThis role involves working as part of a close-knit team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to standard recipes and procedures.
- Dating, labeling, and rotating prepped items, storing them in designated areas.
- Adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and safety rules.
- Maintaining the use of restaurant equipment and adhering to established procedures for product consistency and safety.
- Selecting the correct knife for each task.
- Working efficiently and completing assigned prep lists on time.
- Cleaning and inspecting work areas at the end of each shift, as outlined in checklists.
- Reporting daily inventory supply needs to the Manager on Duty.
- Assisting with tasks throughout the restaurant, including dishwashing, as needed or requested by the Manager on Duty.
- Taking takeout orders accurately and handling phone calls professionally.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the menu and explaining it to customers effectively.
- Cleanliness and sanitizing work surfaces, floors, and debris immediately.
- Removing trash (and recycling bins where applicable) from the restaurant and replacing with new bags.
- Participating in daily and weekly cleaning side jobs throughout the restaurant.
- Contributing to food and labor cost control efforts.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Some high school education and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Able to perform simple mathematical calculations and learn standard kitchen and food preparation procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
