Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the testing and repair of chemical shipping bins to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. You will maintain comprehensive records of bin testing and accurately input bin data into our SAP system.
Key Responsibilities
To excel in this position, the individual must effectively perform the following essential duties:
- Conduct testing of bins in accordance with DOT specifications prior to shipment.
- Repair stainless steel and polyethylene bins to meet DOT standards.
- Input data into SAP for effective tracking of bins.
- Organize and prepare loads of bins designated for refurbishment.
- Maintain thorough records of calibrations and DOT testing.
- Manage, track, and procure parts, fittings, and labels necessary for Bin Maintenance and Washing.
- Provide assistance to the maintenance department as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or refining environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Capability to wear a respirator when required.
- Proficiency in operating a fork truck.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
