Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Academic Mentorship Opportunity. As a Student Success Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving academic success through personalized mentoring and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students in improving academic achievement
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless student support
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
- Stay up-to-date with university policies and procedures
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Must be a California Aeronautical University student with a minimum of 12 completed units
- Must possess and maintain a cumulative CAU GPA of 2.5 or greater and maintain a 2.5 term GPA during the entire employment period
- Must maintain a full-time course load
- Must be in good judicial standing and maintain this standing throughout employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- A or B grade in the course(s) to be tutored and instructor recommendation
- Experience in communicating with diverse socio-economic levels
- Working knowledge of MS Office, internet, and CAU learning resources
Work Environment:
The work environment is a dynamic and supportive campus setting. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
