We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mary Washington Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist in our NICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing various aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies to patients in the NICU. This includes performing arterial blood gas draws and analysis, implementing and managing CPAP/BiPAP, and working in neonatal and adult intensive care settings, emergency department, and level 2 trauma area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies to patients in the NICU
  • Perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis
  • Implement and manage CPAP/BiPAP
  • Work in neonatal and adult intensive care settings, emergency department, and level 2 trauma area
  • Attend monthly department meetings and participate in on-call rotations
  • Float within the hospital as needed
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • NICU, ED, and adult ICU experience preferred
  • VA License required
  • BLS, CRTT, and ACLS certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NRP and RRT certification
  • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system
