Key Responsibilities- Preparing and administering medications to patients and residents in post-acute care settings
- Overseeing residents' self-administration of medications, providing reminders as necessary
- Confirming the correct individual, medication, dosage, route, and timing against the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
- Documenting interventions, vital signs, and other relevant data related to medication administration
- Maintaining the confidentiality of residents
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervising nurse
- Assisting residents with daily living activities (ADLs)
- Current certification as a Licensed Medication Assistant (LMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Current certification as a state nursing assistant (CNA/LNA/STNA)
- A minimum of one year of experience in a nursing assistant role or a related position
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare providers
- Strong understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology
