Company Overview: High Tech Genesis is in search of a proficient DO-178 Manager to spearhead our software development compliance initiatives within aviation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and oversee safety strategies to ensure adherence to DO-178C DAL A standards.
  • Manage software development workflows, including code fortification, verification, and validation, while upholding the utmost safety and reliability benchmarks.
  • Conduct comprehensive safety evaluations, hazard assessments, and risk management.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of safety strategies, processes, and compliance efforts.
  • Prepare for and facilitate both internal and external compliance evaluations.
  • Deliver training and expert guidance on DO-178C standards and safety protocols.
  • Adopt best practices for enhancing safety and reliability processes.
  • Effectively communicate safety goals and requirements with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years in software development, with at least 5 years dedicated to safety-critical systems and DO-178C compliance.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., DO-178C, FAA DER) are highly valued.
  • In-depth knowledge of DO-178C standards, particularly for DAL A certification, along with familiarity with associated standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities; adept at collaborative work.
  • Exceptional attention to safety and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with safety, verification, and code analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and V-Model software development methodologies.
  • Background in the aerospace sector and understanding of regulatory frameworks.
