Job Summary:
As a Room Attendant, you will respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Your role includes identifying and reporting maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms, ensuring safety by posting caution signs, and contacting other departments for urgent repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver guest requests and arrange furniture in guest rooms as needed.
- Remove items from hallways and transport them to service areas, including debris, room service trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash.
- Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete safety training and certifications; ensure proper storage of flammable materials.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance; uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating their service needs and assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests.
- Support team efforts to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and more with assistance.
- Push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other equipment over uneven surfaces.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching overhead.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment to identify defects.
- Navigate narrow or elevated spaces and move up and down ladders.
- Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: No high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related Work Experience: No prior experience necessary.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- License or Certification: None required.
