We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect equipment on a regular basis to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
- Shut down and disassemble machinery as needed to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Order and install replacement parts to keep industrial equipment functioning in top condition.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using hand and power tools.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and precision instruments.
- Industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required.
- Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Comfortable with computers and able to operate hand, power, and specialized tools.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Team player with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED; advanced technical or college training preferred.
- Experience with Food Processing equipment a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
