Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect equipment on a regular basis to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Shut down and disassemble machinery as needed to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Order and install replacement parts to keep industrial equipment functioning in top condition.
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using hand and power tools.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and precision instruments.
Requirements
  • Industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required.
  • Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Comfortable with computers and able to operate hand, power, and specialized tools.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Team player with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED; advanced technical or college training preferred.
  • Experience with Food Processing equipment a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment.
