Night Custodian

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our team at Washington Elementary School District. As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for our students and staff.

• Clean and maintain school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and mops.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
• Assist with special events and projects, such as setup and teardown of equipment and materials.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of custodial or maintenance-related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Night Custodian will work primarily at night, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening shifts as needed. The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.
