Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grader Mechanic to join our team at Kreher Family Farms. As a Grader Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our egg grading equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and maintain the mechanical and electrical workings of our grader machine.
  • Assist other Grader Mechanics and Maintenance Technicians in equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Work effectively with QA Technicians and USDA Graders to ensure SQF compliance requirements.
  • Inspect equipment to avoid problems that may cause future injury to equipment operators.
  • Report findings to immediate supervisor and assist in the installation of new equipment as required.
  • Develop knowledge of equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure best practices are utilized in the processing department.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and document work completed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid accidents.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge and skill for maintenance problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn new skills and apply new concepts.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
