We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Machinist to join our team at Genuine Parts Company. As a Store Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various fabrication shop machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain fabrication shop machinery and equipment, including vertical mills and drill presses.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Set up and operate oxy-acetylene rigs, MIG/TIG welders, and plasma cutters.
- Measure work-piece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machine operation.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, time, and materials used.
- Order materials and supplies required for maintenance and repair work.
- 2 years of prior welding experience.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused individual with excellent communication skills.
The Store Machinist will work in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment with exposure to various machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
