Job Description
Operates fabrication shop machinery and equipment. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Weld, Fabricate, use lathe machine
Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template.
Positions work-piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
Set up and operate oxy-acetylene rig.
Measures work-piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Operate a MIG/TIG welder
Read and interpret drawings
Operate plasma cutter.
Keep records of work performed, time and materials used by job.
Order materials and supplies required for maintenance and repair work.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Work on a vertical mill and drill press.
Maintain cleanliness of shop area.
Adhere to all safety rules.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years of prior welding experience.
At least 18 years old.
You must have your own hand tools.
Reliable, organized, detailed and focused .
Ability to move up to 100 lb and lift up to 50 lb.
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
