The Senior Clinical Research Director will be responsible for overseeing global clinical research activities and programs to support the business goals of the Robotic Surgical Technologies and Digital Technologies units. This role involves developing clinical strategies, managing clinical trials, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to disseminate evidence of product efficacy and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical research within the medical device industry and will be a strategic leader with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global clinical research strategies to support business growth and expansion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify stakeholder needs and develop evidence-based solutions
  • Provide strategic leadership for evidence generation activities, including clinical trials and research studies
  • Manage external physician-initiated research programs and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Work with regulatory, reimbursement, and marketing teams to leverage clinical trial results and drive business growth
  • Represent the business units in clinical evaluation matters and provide expert guidance on clinical research best practices
  • Support global product launches and customer support plans, ensuring seamless integration of clinical research data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biomedical engineering or public health, with a strong emphasis on clinical research
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in clinical research, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning
  • Strong knowledge of FDA and global regulatory agencies, with experience in navigating complex regulatory environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex clinical research concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels, from internal teams to external partners and customers
