Job Summary
This travel nursing assignment is for a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. As an Oncology RN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals diagnosed with cancer. Your duties will include assessing patients, monitoring vital signs, administering cancer treatments, managing side effects, and providing emotional support.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position is in a hospital setting, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with colleagues and families, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in oncology care.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include full medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. You will also receive a tax-free stipend to cover living expenses while on assignment.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess a current New Jersey nursing license, American Heart Association BLS certification, and at least 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience. You should be proficient in electronic medical records and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
