The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for delivering a range of patient care activities and interventions for individuals across different age groups, all under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in effective verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in nursing tasks that fall within the Licensed Vocational Nurse's scope of practice.
- Exhibit the ability to read and understand English at a level sufficient to follow both written and verbal instructions, including safety protocols.
- Utilize computer systems for accurate documentation of patient care.
Experience Requirements
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Must hold a valid Vocational Nurse license in the State of Texas.
- NICU: TX LVN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) Card, NRP, and STABLE.
- Emergency and Float Pool: TX LVN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) Card, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.
- All other Critical Care: TX LVN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) Card, PALS, ACLS.
- Med/Surg Areas: TX LVN License, Basic Life Support (BLS), and PALS.
