PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is currently seeking a dedicated Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. This is a Full-Time position with a 0.90 FTE commitment, focusing on daytime hours.
Compensation:
The salary for this role is set at $45.32 per hour, with the hiring rate influenced by various factors such as education, training, and relevant experience.
Role Responsibilities:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for delivering direct patient care to individuals enrolled in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs targeting cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular health. Key duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive initial patient assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for rehabilitation.
- Managing the entire rehabilitation process for patients, ensuring the implementation and supervision of therapeutic programs.
- Regularly assessing and adjusting patient care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documenting patient data meticulously.
- Creating safe and effective exercise prescriptions for a diverse patient demographic with various co-morbidities.
Collaboration and Patient Education:
This role requires close collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist will also provide patient education on test results, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field, with 2 years preferred in cardiovascular rehabilitation services.
- A current license/registration/certification as mandated by state regulations.
- Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support certification from an accredited organization, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within one year of hire.
Skills and Knowledge:
Applicants should demonstrate advanced knowledge in exercise physiology, cardiovascular pathophysiology, and the ability to recognize ECG/arrhythmia patterns.
