As a Strategic Financial Analyst, you will lead and implement the forecasting, planning, and analytical support for ADP's National Account Services (NAS) division.

Your role will involve understanding and tracking business expenditures, ensuring that leaders remain aligned with financial expectations. You will identify and oversee financial and operational key performance indicators (KPIs) by product, fostering an environment where these metrics inform business decisions. Additionally, you will assist in variance analysis during the monthly closing process.

The daily responsibilities of this role will vary depending on the financial cycle phase. However, a constant aspect of all activities will be your evolution into the subject matter expert for your designated business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

On a typical day, you can expect to:

  • Collaborate with Business Units: Assist your partners in National Accounts to identify and manage KPIs, providing insights into expense metrics, performance drivers, actual results, current forecasts, and long-term projections.
  • Conduct Financial Analysis: Execute financial analyses related to operating expenses, business strategies, and other metrics used for reporting and decision-making support.
  • Enhance Knowledge: Continuously improve your expertise and skills, focusing on metrics specific to your business unit while maintaining a common analytical framework around ADP expenses. Investigate the "what," "why," and "so what" of various drivers.
  • Develop Financial Models: Create and refine financial models to ensure ongoing process evolution. This may involve maintaining existing models or completely rebuilding those that no longer yield accurate outputs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A or a similar role.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, including the ability to create models from scratch in Excel, utilizing functions such as VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index Match, and nested formulas.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, knowing when to engage with others for optimal outcomes.
  • Capacity to manage complex projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Critical thinking skills to navigate established guidelines while addressing anomalies in historical trends.
  • Self-motivated with a strong intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is required.
