Position: Firearms Finishing Specialist – 3rd Shift

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Compensation: Starting at $ shift differential

Incentives: $600 retention bonus and $600 referral bonus

JOB OVERVIEW

The Firearms Finishing Specialist is tasked with the preparation, application, and finishing of paint on various firearm surfaces. This role encompasses touch-up work and the coordination of painting projects, alongside performing advanced finishing operations and overseeing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates high-voltage equipment, including the painting booth, Pickle Line, Solo Furnaces, Vacuum Furnace, and Temper Furnace.
  • Processes firearm components in accordance with established guidelines to meet Beretta U.S.A. standards and military specifications.
  • Loads firearm components onto racks for processing.
  • Monitors dials and gauges to ensure appropriate levels of methanol, nitrogen, acids, and salt.
  • Executes heat treatment processes following specified recipes.
  • Conducts hardness inspections and tempers non-conforming components.
  • Monitors electrical parameters such as voltage, temperature, and amperage for optimal conductivity.
  • Assists in the management of hazardous waste within the facility.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Moves lightweight items over short distances.
  • Adds and removes chemicals from machinery as necessary.
  • Cleans work areas and maintains a tidy environment.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • May involve lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to chemicals, fumes, and temperature extremes.
  • Utilization of personal protective equipment is mandatory.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of chemical hazards and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with machinery operation and chemical applications.
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records.
  • Capability to stand, bend, stoop, and navigate between machines.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in monitoring gauges and making necessary machine adjustments.
  • Ability to identify and implement safety measures for occupational hazards.
