Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze electro-mechanical components and systems
- Develop drawings and specifications for new and modified designs
- Support manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical equipment
- Conduct studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Develop design information for use in drawings and specifications
- Provide engineering design, maintenance support, and training for new product and equipment
- Assess new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness
- Design and conduct experiments, collect data, and interpret results; conduct analysis and write analysis and test reports
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of engineering activities, including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations
- Determine maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for current and new equipment
- Determine technical objectives and develop innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 2-10 years work experience dealing with manufacture and design of engineered products
- Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators, and propulsors)
- GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems, FEA methods
- Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews
- Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities
- Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
