Assisting Hands of South Volusia is seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, ambulation, and exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, physical transfer, and other duties as assigned.
- Household Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within clients' residences, including light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, sleeping, and living areas.
- Nutritional Support: Provide nutritional support as needed, including preparing meals and snacks.
- Communication: Report changes in clients' conditions to the agency supervisor and maintain accurate records of personal health care activities.
- Medication Assistance: Assist clients with the self-administration of medication, including reading labels, opening containers, and placing oral dosages in clients' hands.
- Education: CNA/HHA Certification
- Experience: One (1) year experience in the home or long-term care setting preferred
- Qualifications: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
