As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning and executing activities that promote the well-being and engagement of our residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Activity Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a variety of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including events, outings, and in-house programs.
- Community Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations and businesses to provide opportunities for residents to engage with the community.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train Life Enrichment Leaders to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality activities and services.
- Resident Engagement: Meet with residents and their families to understand their preferences and interests, and develop strategies to encourage participation and engagement.
- Activity Coordination: Lead and participate in scheduled activities, track attendance and satisfaction, and make adjustments as needed to ensure resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with activities and events.
- Event Planning: Plan and execute special events, such as birthdays, holidays, and other celebrations, to enhance the resident experience.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Maintain accurate records of activity attendance, resident feedback, and other relevant data to inform future programming and decision-making.
- Certifications and Education: CPR and AED certification required; Activities certification desired; four-year college or university degree in Recreation Therapy or similar field desired.
- Experience: Two years' experience with geriatrics required; two years' experience in a similar activities position required.
- Skills and Abilities: Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office; ability to work with minimal supervision; professional manner and high level of confidentiality required.
