Job Title: Nursing Director RN

Job Summary:

The Nursing Director RN is a key leadership position at Sunrise Senior Living, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents, while also contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care in the community, managing and directing the nursing team to promote the health and wellness of the resident population.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
  • Develop and implement clinical quality and process improvement initiatives to mitigate risk and improve resident care outcomes.
  • Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, and be responsible for performance management, evaluations, and engagement.
  • Manage the department budget, including labor and other expenses, and understand its impact on the community's bottom line.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid.
