About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Blood Collection Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in collecting lifesaving blood donations that support patients in need. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community while developing your healthcare skills and career.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work collaboratively with your team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites, creating a welcoming environment for volunteer donors.
  • You will be responsible for safely collecting blood donations, adhering to all regulatory requirements and ensuring the integrity of the donated blood.
  • You may drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are essential.
  • You must possess a current, valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • You should be able to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
