Job Title: Traveling Healthcare Construction Superintendent

Are you a seasoned construction professional with a passion for managing projects and building strong relationships? Do you have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget?

Job Summary:

The Traveling Healthcare Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the safe execution of daily construction activities at job sites. This includes supervising and coordinating various subcontractors and individual trades to ensure contract compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction methodologies and procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site safety program, including weekly job site safety meetings, job site safety checklists, and daily observation of safe work practices.
  • Develop and maintain required documentation, including life safety plan, emergency action plan, contact information sheet, and infection control plan.
  • Hold initial safety orientation training with every subcontractor prior to their starting work on-site.
  • Read and study construction documents, including specifications, contracts, shop drawings, and blueprints, to determine construction requirements and develop plan procedures for execution.
  • Accurately scope out length and difficulty of project tasks and seek subcontractor and owner input to build an effective schedule.
  • Develop schedule and phasing in conjunction with Project Manager and manage an effective near-term schedule, including a four-week look ahead, and overall job schedule.
  • Mobilize and demobilize to and from the job site.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Healthcare construction experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with new construction and renovation projects.
  • Minimum of OSHA 30 training.
  • Active First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Understanding of ICRA infection control requirements.
