About the Position

Norton Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Child Abuse Pediatrician, you will play a critical role in evaluating children suspected of child maltreatment and providing expert care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate children suspected of child maltreatment and provide expert care and support
  • Collaborate with a nurse or nurse practitioner on all cases, with responsibility for evaluation, case management, on-call, report writing, and court testimony when needed
  • Work in tandem with a clinical forensic nurse as a physician-extender, with nurses and nurse practitioners taking first call and collaborating with the on-call physician for every patient
  • Appointment to a faculty position at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, offering robust support for clinical research, academic pursuits, and teaching
  • Abundant leadership opportunities for community engagement and policy/prevention work, as well as engagement with students, residents, community providers, and partners
  • Opportunities to join or lead multiple state and local boards and teams
Requirements:
  • Medical degree/diploma
  • Residency/fellowship certification
  • Kentucky medical license or license eligible
