Overview

Radiologic Imaging Specialist II PRN

This role involves executing a range of specialized technical responsibilities linked to the operation of x-ray imaging systems and associated apparatus to support the radiologist in identifying anatomical irregularities. The registered imaging specialist is accountable for the daily management of the Imaging x-ray department, coordinating patient schedules, assisting radiologists during intricate interventional procedures, ensuring equipment upkeep, reporting equipment malfunctions, and conducting quality assessments (QA). The registered specialist upholds a high standard of medical ethics consistently and is driven to enhance their understanding and knowledge of the field, diseases, and emerging procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Employs innovative customer service strategies to ensure a positive patient care experience for both patients and their families.

+ Conducts oneself professionally in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders to foster a work environment focused on patient experience rather than operational challenges.

+ Produces high-quality radiographic images to facilitate patient care activities.

+ Effectively communicates with patients and their families regarding the procedures to be performed, gathering necessary information and providing reassurance.

+ Maintains awareness of and adheres to established radiation safety protocols while performing duties.

+ Establishes and sustains communication with all staff members and radiologists to ensure an effective and collaborative working environment.

+ May be required to rotate shifts or be on-call as needed or directed by the organization.

+ Performs additional duties as assigned to fulfill the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

+ Education: Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Radiologic Technology.

+ Experience: A minimum of 1 year of imaging experience (including training).

Required Licensure and Certifications

+ ARRT (R)

+ MRT

Pay Range

$33.20 /hour
