Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to our patients, including the dispensing of prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals as needed.
Responsibilities- Review orders to determine therapeutic rationale and safety.
- Efficiently and accurately perform pharmaceutical dispensing functions.
- Provide pharmaceutical information to all customers, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of IV sterile products preparation.
- Lead and supervise pharmacy operations and support staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree, as well as an active New Jersey Registered Pharmacist license. You must also have thorough knowledge of pharmacy, Federal and State regulations, and JCAHO standards.
