SUMMARY

In the role of Refrigeration Systems Technician, you will be tasked with executing essential preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure that ammonia refrigeration systems and other operational equipment remain functional.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct routine inspections and assessments of ammonia systems.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair both manufacturing and ammonia refrigeration machinery or systems.
  • Interpret and analyze technical documentation, electrical diagrams, service manuals, and work orders to carry out necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with plant maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical systems by fulfilling maintenance obligations (both scheduled and unscheduled) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
  • Adhere to established work protocols and safety standards.
  • Perform various manual tasks in diverse temperature conditions for extended durations, which may involve lifting items of varying weights, climbing, standing, bending, and working at heights when necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, or overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in refrigeration or equivalent educational background.
  • At least two years of experience with boiler and steam systems.
  • Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific safety regulations.
