As a caregiver on our Hematology Oncology Unit, you'll work alongside passionate and dedicated colleagues to provide the highest quality, safest care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, and other treatments.

Unit Overview

The G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit focuses on the diagnoses and treatment of various malignancies and hematologic diseases. Our dedicated caregivers provide comprehensive care to patients from new diagnosis to end-of-life care. We have a positive, team-oriented culture with daily 7am huddles to ensure a smooth start to each shift.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other treatments
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
  • Educate patients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One-year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
