Position Overview - Echo Technologist

Role Purpose & Summary

  • Conduct transthoracic echocardiograms for patients
  • Engage in patient care on a part-time basis
  • Facilitate patient education and manage appointment scheduling
  • Optimize imaging settings to achieve the best diagnostic results
  • Enhance professional skills through guidance and mentorship
  • Maintain safety and quality standards throughout the care process

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program
  • Necessary certifications: RDCS and RVT
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Registered sonographer status required
  • BLS certification is mandatory

Additional Certifications and Licenses

  • Current Driver's License
  • CPR Certification

Work Environment

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work settings
  • Exposure to noise and vibrations may occur
  • Potential to work in varying weather conditions
