CHRISTUS Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine and complex care to critically ill newborns, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including medication administration, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, preferred.
- 1 year of experience in the related RN specialty, preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- RN license in the state of employment or compact.
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting.
