About the Role

i.g. Burton Automotive Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson to join our team. As a key member of our dealership, you will be responsible for purchasing, selling, storing, and issuing parts to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parts Procurement: Determine customer needs and accurately specify parts accordingly.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create and modify purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Inventory Management: Record warranty parts returned, create special ordered parts on our dealership computer system, and notify relevant teams upon receipt.
  • Financial Management: Process and close open invoices, compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain accurate records of outside purchases and parts received and issued, perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory.
  • Communication: Attend weekly department meetings and maintain open communication with colleagues and management.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of dealership warehouse experience or training. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
