- Participate in quality assurance activities regarding medications, including policy and medication usage, audits, and Drug Utilization Evaluation studies.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the medication delivery system and ensuring the integrity of all medications is maintained and properly stored.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the records and reports related to the purchase, receipt, and disposition of drugs and related supplies.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care, including patient-centered, outcomes-oriented pharmacy practice.
- Work in concert with patients and other healthcare providers to promote health, prevent disease, and assess, monitor, and modify medication use to ensure safe and effective drug therapy regimens.
- Participate in quality assurance activities regarding medications, including policy and medication usage, audits, and Drug Utilization Evaluation studies.
**Requirements**
- Doctoral degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Ability to distinguish basic colors.
**Additional Information**
- This position is included in the bargaining unit.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of a pre-employment and panel interview, urinalysis, physical, and background investigation.
- Successful completion of the "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" three-week training course at Glynco, Georgia is required.
