As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing parts operations within our dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Effective Parts Department Processes: Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Parts Merchandising and Promotion: Promote and merchandise parts and accessories in conjunction with other store locations.
  • Annual Parts Department Goals and Budget: Create annual parts department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
  • Parts Department Marketing Plan: Develop and execute parts department marketing plan and monitor monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
  • Inventory Control System: Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures.
  • Warranty and Return Claims: Submit all parts warranty and return claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
  • Order Discount Programs: Maximize use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals.
  • Department Tools and Equipment: Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
  • Recruiting, Staffing, and Employee Development: Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Knowledge of Farm and Turf Power Equipment: Knowledge of farm and turf power equipment preferred.
  • Extended Hours and Weekends: Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Analysis and Interpretation of Reports: Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Financial Principles: Basic understanding of financial principles relative to parts department operations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to write and speak effectively to deal with the public and upper management.
  • Customer Relations and Service: Proven experience driving and improving customer relations and service.
  • Desktop Applications: Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and internet functions.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading others.
  • Parts Department Operations: Experience in parts department operations.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
