Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED, alongside a minimum of five years' experience in maintenance-related roles. A two-year degree in building construction technology or a comparable mix of experience and training is preferred, demonstrating the necessary skills and knowledge for the position. Certification in first-aid and CPR is advantageous. A valid driver's license is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Support the Maintenance Team under the guidance of the Director of Operations.
- Exhibit punctuality, reliability, integrity, sound judgment, a strong work ethic, and a proactive mindset.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment, ensuring work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Demonstrate mechanical skills and proficiency in using small power tools, maintaining both power and hand tools.
- Understand safe operational practices and maintenance for various tools, turf equipment, and vehicles.
- Possess basic knowledge in plumbing, masonry, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and light construction.
- Experience in parks and recreation and/or relevant maintenance certifications is desirable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with other Parks and Recreation staff, supporting the vision and mission of the organization.
- Establish and uphold sound business and financial practices in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
- Maintain professional relationships both internally and externally, reflecting the core values of the organization.
- Work hours may vary, likely including nights and weekends, depending on seasonal demands, events, and projects.
- Exhibit a high standard of professionalism and ethics while working harmoniously with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Attend all required meetings as directed by supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Working Environment:
Employees may encounter adverse weather conditions and hazards related to traffic, electricity, chemicals, and fumes. Protective gear such as gloves, safety glasses, clothing, and boots is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent activities include walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting. Exposure to moving mechanical parts is common.
