Job Summary - The Classroom Support Specialist I plays a vital role in delivering technical assistance for audio-visual and classroom technologies. Key responsibilities include managing work orders, installing and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment, overseeing video conferencing, and maintaining an inventory of classroom technology.

  • Manage and fulfill work orders for technical assistance
  • Install and resolve issues with audio/visual equipment
  • Oversee video conferencing and live event streaming
  • Assist with routine maintenance of AV systems
  • Provide IT support to students, faculty, and staff
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Document requests using the tracking system
  • Follow up with customers for feedback
  • Adhere to safe technology practices

Required Qualifications - A High School diploma and a minimum of 1 year of technical support experience are required. Candidates must achieve certifications within designated timelines. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Preferred Qualifications - An Associate degree and 3 years of experience in classroom support are preferred. Additional certifications and relevant experience are advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Proficiency in computer systems and peripherals, outstanding customer service skills, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential.

Conditions of Employment - All candidates must successfully pass a background check, and additional requirements may apply depending on the position.
