Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic Surgical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with orthopedic surgical needs
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate positive patient outcomes
- Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and/or behavioral problems
Requirements
- RN licensed in the state of Texas or a compact state
- BCLS certification
- Completion of RN/LVN program leading to licensure
- Ability to read and write basic English with basic skills necessary to understand and transfer physician's orders
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience as RN 1-2 years
- Preferred BSN
- Specialty certification/training as appropriate
- Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written
- Computer skills
- Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care
- Strong problem-solving skills
