Veterinary Technician

Full-Time Position

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to enhance our veterinary services across our network of partner hospitals.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Technician, you will be integral to the well-being of pets, delivering essential care at various stages of their health journey. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
  • Administering outpatient treatments and conducting laboratory analyses.
  • Assisting in surgical procedures and anesthesia management.
  • Providing support during patient admissions and discharges.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary technician role.
  • Preferred Veterinary Technician Licensure.
  • Experience in surgical assistance, anesthesia, and dental procedures.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is preferred, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to ensure high-quality veterinary care and advocate for pet health.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow and productivity within the hospital.
  • Engage with clients to discuss pet health concerns and provide guidance on treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts.
  • Utilize safe restraint techniques and uphold cleanliness in treatment areas.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members.
