Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume a program and/or construction management role on projects as the client's advisor.

The ideal candidate will develop and oversee program/project scope, budgets, and schedules, as well as develop and oversee program management systems and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various programs, including development and oversight of scope, budget, schedule, and implementation.
  • Evaluate programs and perform cost/benefit analysis to determine overall cost savings and effectiveness.
  • Develop and evaluate contracting and procurement methods based on program specifics.
  • Coordinate with local utilities to understand and capture available rebates and incentives.
  • Review and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Advise, consult with, and give technical direction to design firms, consultants, and contractors on policies, guidelines, and specifications for development of project costs related to design and construction.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and report activities and progress to sustainability and maintenance and operations management.
  • Create policies, procedures, standards, and project workflows to achieve program directives and maximize efficiencies.
  • Develop and oversee program management systems and reports.
  • Perform fiscal management and program-level financial reporting to both internal and external offices/agencies.
  • Collect, draft, develop, and disseminate lessons learned to appropriate staff.
  • Manage the closeout phase of the program.
  • Provide training and guidance to project staff.
  • Perform technical oversight for project assignment and advisor duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, and/or engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in overseeing and managing all phases of K-12 programs/projects.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Safety Training highly desirable.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or PMP certificate highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Primavera (P6), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and E-Builder.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with little or no direct supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to manage large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of project management principles, processes, and procedures.
  • Proficient leadership skills, including effective conflict management and influencing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple multi-phase projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
