RN Wound Care Nurse Specialist

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated RN Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of excellence in wound care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop individualized wound care plans for patients with complex wounds
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and families on wound care and management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care practices and patient outcomes
- Stay current with evidence-based wound care practices and guidelines
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience in wound care or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Wound care certification (e.g. CWOCN, CWCN)
- Experience in leadership or education roles
- Knowledge of evidence-based wound care practices and guidelines
