About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team at PENN Entertainment, Inc. as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst. This is a key role that will play a critical part in our company's efforts to protect our enterprise from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust security architectures to protect our enterprise from cyber threats.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents to determine the root cause and impact, and recommend or implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Perform proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify and address security weaknesses.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest threat intelligence and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and other departments to ensure that security controls are integrated into all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of security tools and technologies to enhance our organization's security monitoring capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior analysts and other team members on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
  • Remain current on the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies to provide proactive defense against emerging threats.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for security incidents, providing clear communication to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field from a four-year college or university; or seven (7)+ years' related experience in a cyber security analysis and incident response; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and attack methodologies.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Proven experience with network security, operating systems, and application security.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and tool development is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex security incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in security technologies and tools such as SIEM, PAM, EDR, and multi-factor authentication.
